Cross-contamination is the single most common food-safety mistake in a home kitchen. The Kazomo Dual-Sided Cutting Board is built around a simple idea: give raw and ready-to-eat foods their own dedicated surface, on the same board, without taking up two slots in your cupboard.

One side is a titanium-treated, anti-bacterial, anti-scratch composite surface — engineered to handle raw chicken, fish, beef and acidic citrus without staining, warping or harbouring bacteria. The other side is real acacia hardwood, hand-finished and food-safe, for bread, cheese, charcuterie and chopped herbs.

A discreet stainless-steel hinge lets the board fold open into a 'double-board' workstation, so a single home cook can prep both surfaces in parallel. Stainless-steel handles on both ends make it easy to carry, hang and serve from.

Common questions

Why a dual-sided cutting board?+

Because the most common source of cross-contamination at home is using one board for both raw protein and ready-to-eat food. With two clearly-different surfaces on the same board, you get two boards' worth of safety in the storage footprint of one.

Is the titanium side safe for my knives?+

Yes. The mesh surface is engineered to be soft enough to preserve a chef-knife edge, while being far harder and more sanitary than plastic.

How do I clean it?+

Hand-wash with warm soapy water and dry upright. The acacia side benefits from a monthly rub of food-safe mineral or wood oil to preserve its finish.

Can I put it in the dishwasher?+

No. The acacia hardwood will warp in the dishwasher. Hand-washing also extends the life of the hinge.

Is it antibacterial?+

The titanium-treated side has an anti-microbial finish that significantly reduces bacterial growth between cleanings. It is not a substitute for proper washing.

Does the board slip on the counter?+

The reinforced ABS frame has a textured underside that grips most countertop surfaces. The anti-slip texture is engineered not to leave marks.
